Here are the Terms and Conditions of Service that you must abide by to purchase services from Fat Web Hosting
If you purchase services from us, you are bound by these terms and conditions.

Length Of Contract:
Your contract runs for either 12 months, 6 months or 1 calendar month from the date you first ordered, depending on which plan you choose and is renewed for another year, another 6 months or another month when you make your next payment. However, there is NO minimum contract. You are free to cancel your account and move to another web host at any time, but no refunds will be given if, for example, you cancel your account before your term expires.

Billing:
Your hosting package must be prepaid via PayPal. We will send out invoices to remind you of when payments are due. Your PayPal account will not be billed automatically on the annual, monthly or 6-monthly (bi-annual) anniversary of the date the account was ordered.
It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that you have sufficient credit in your PayPal account to cover this these payments and that payments are made on time.
For annual or 6-MONTHLY (bi-annual) payments, we recommend that you make a note in your diary one year from the date you ordered the hosting originally. If your credit card or personal details change during the year, please make sure that you log into your PayPal account or other online credit merchant and update your details before the payment due date.
If we do not receive payment, we will email you, requesting payment. If we do not hear from you, we will suspend your account. If we still do not hear from you, your account will be deleted without warning as we will assume you no longer require web hosting. No refunds will be given.

Price Change
The amount you pay for hosting will never increase from the date of purchase. We reserve the right to change prices listed on fatwebhosting.co.uk, and the right to increase the amount of resources given to plans at any time.

Coupons / special discounts
Discounts and coupon codes are reserved for first-time accounts *or first-time customers* only and may not be used towards the purchase of a domain registration unless otherwise specified. If you have signed up using a particular domain, you may not resign up for that domain using another coupon at a later date. Any account found in violation of these policies will be reviewed by our sales department and the appropriate invoices will be added to the account. Coupon abuse will not be tolerated and may result in the suspension or termination of the account.

Transfers
Our transfers team will make every effort to help you move your site to us. However, transfers are provided as a courtesy service, and we can not make guarantees regarding the availability, possibility, or time required to complete an account transfer. Each hosting company is configured differently, and some hosting platforms save data in an incompatible or proprietary format, which may make it extremely difficult if not impossible to migrate some or all account data. We will try our best, but in some cases we may be unable to assist you in a transfer of data from an old host.

The free transfer services are available for 30 days from your sign up date. Transfers outside of the 30 day free period will incur a charge; please contact a member of the transfers department with specific details to receive a price quote.

All services provided by Fat Web Hosting may only be used for lawful purposes.

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Fat Web Hosting from any claims resulting from the use of our services.

Use of our services to infringe upon any copyright or trademark is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to unauthorized copying of music, books, photographs, or any other copyrighted work. The offer of sale of any counterfeit merchandise of a trademark holder will result in the immediate termination of your account. Any account found to be in violation of another's copyright will be expeditiously removed, or access to the material disabled. Any account found to be in repeated violation of copyright laws will be suspended and/or terminated from our hosting. If you believe that your copyright or trademark is being infringed upon, please contact us with the information required.  If the request is of a licensing issue, we may require further documentation.

If you are unsure whether or not your site falls into these categories feel free to contact us with a description before you sign up for an account or publish material as an existing customer.

It is your responsibility to ensure that scripts/programs installed under your account are secure and permissions of directories are set properly, regardless of installation method. When at all possible, set permissions on most directories to 755 or as restrictive as possible. Users are ultimately responsible for all actions taken under their account. This includes the compromise of credentials such as user name and password. It is required that you use a secure password. If a weak password is used, your account may be suspended until you agree to use a more secure password. Audits may be done to prevent weak passwords from being used. If an audit is performed, and your password is found to be weak, we will notify you and allow time for you to change/update your password.

Any attempt to undermine or cause harm to a server, or customer, of FatWebHosting.co.uk is strictly prohibited. Offenders will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

The Content of your Emails: (Anti-Spam Policy)
Spam is "Unsolicited junk e-mail sent to large numbers of people to promote products or services".

We have a zero tolerance policy towards spam and we monitor our mail servers to ensure they are not being used for spamming. If we allowed customers to spam then our mail servers would be blacklisted and none of our customers would be able to send and receive mail reliably.
It is in all customers interests that we stop spam. So we would recommend you sign up with Aweber.com and be able to send newsletters safe in the knowledge that you are doing it legally.

We do NOT permit:

If you spam, we will see you doing it, your account will be suspended and possibly even terminated and you will not get a refund.

If you run a mailing list, all the people you mail MUST have opted into the list. i.e. through a subscribe form on your website. You must honour all unsubscribe requests within 24 hours.

If we receive a spam complaint about your account we will.

Data Back-Ups:
Your use of the service is at your sole risk. We are not responsible for files and/or data residing on your account. You agree to take full responsibility for files and data transferred and to maintain all appropriate backup of files and data stored on our servers.
It is in your own interests to keep a copy of all the files and folders your web site backed up on your own hard drive in your computer. Keeping a copy of your website on your computer is the best way to protect your data. You should also make regular backups of any databases you have.

Usernames and Passwords:
We will provide you with a username and password for accessing your account.
You are responsible for keeping your Username and Password safe to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

Bandwidth Usage:
Each hosting plan we provide has a set amount of bandwidth available per month (20 gigabytes per month) which is a huge amount of bandwidth, adequate for the majority of websites. We monitor this usage and if your website goes over the limit, it will be suspended until the second day of the next month. You are advised to check your bandwidth regularly in your CPanel Control Panel.

30 Day Money Back Guarantee:
We are so confident that you will be happy with our web hosting service, which is why we operate a 30 day money back guarantee.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our web hosting service, and we are unable to put things right to your satisfaction, we will refund all web hosting charges paid by you (less 10% to cover credit card commission and associated charges).
To claim on this guarantee you must notify us of your wish to cancel an account within the first 30 days following activation and request a refund. However, there are conditions, which must be adhered to, otherwise this guarantee is void:

Uptime:
As with most other web hosts, we guarantee 99.9% uptime, which means that, although we endeavour to make sure that your web hosting is fully functional and viewable by the public at all times, there may be occasions where your website may "be down" and not viewable. This is very rare and can be caused by server upgrades (which will only mean that your website may be down for a few minutes) or by unforseen technical faults. Big Fat Web Hosting cannot be held responsible for any losses or inconvenience caused by unforseen downtime.

Advertised Features:
Because CPanel (the company who create and maintain the CPanel Web Hosting Control Panel) constantly update and improve CPanel, some advertised features may change or be removed. This is beyond our control. We always endeavour to advertise the web hosting features accurately and cannot be held responsible for any subsequent or unforeseen changes or omissions.

Cancelling Your Account
To cancel your web hosting account, you must inform us in writing by email that you are leaving. You do NOT have to give a reason and you do NOT have to give us any notice.
You are, however, responsible for cancelling your PayPal subscription as cancelling your web hosting account will NOT automatically cancel your subscription. NO refunds will be given if you forget to cancel your PayPal subscription and another payment goes out.
You are free to cancel your account and move to another web host at any time, (there is no minum contract) but NO refunds or NO part-refunds will be given if, for example, you cancel your account before your term expires, unless the 30 day guarantee applies.

Cancellations and Refunds
Fat Web Hosting reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or otherwise restrict access to the account at any time with or without notice.

Free Domain Registration
Any domain name registered for free with us will be purchased and held by FatWebHosting.co.uk and registered at Godaddy.com, we will pay all renewal fees for the domain on a yearly basis. If at any point you require to have full ownership of the domain name we will transfer the domain to your ownership. At this point you will be required to pay all fees for the renewal and ownership of the domain name. A Godaddy.com account will be required and it is free to sign up for one. A fee will be required if you decide to transfer the domain within the first year of hosting with Fatwebhosting.co.uk

Any abuse of our staff in any medium or format will result in the suspension or termination of your services.

This includes loss of data resulting from delays, no deliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions caused by Fat Web Hosting and its employees.
